Belleek Castle, Ballina

Your Unforgettable Fairytale In Ireland’s Best Castle Wedding Venue

Finished with turrets and finials, our Neo-Gothic castle is a spectacular sight as you sweep up the drive. Endless green lawn backed by majestic Belleek Wood creates the ultimate fairytale setting.

Built between 1825 and 1831, Belleek Castle is a magnificent, historic castle wedding venue. Rooms exquisitely decorated in a medieval or Victorian style (typical of the revival Gothic style popular in the 1800s) create an unforgettable setting for weddings of every size and type.

Luxury Tailored To Your Needs

Providing you with a relaxed yet grand setting for your wedding day, we offer you full use of our wedding venue. From the manor house to the grounds and our beautiful rooms, you’re free to shape the itinerary which best matches what you want for your wedding celebrations.

Whether your wedding experience at Belleek Castle lasts for one or multiple days, we guarantee your wedding celebrations will be extraordinary.

The Grounds

Gardens

Gardens

Throughout your wedding day you can use our grounds in any way you choose. Erect a marquee on the lawn for larger weddings or a collection of tipis for a boho festival vibe. Exchange your vows in the most picturesque West Ireland setting or enjoy drinks on the lawn after your ceremony. Entertain the children and those young at heart with lawn games, croquet or retro-style fairground games.

Woods

Woodland

Create a laidback, multi-day wedding with luxury glamping on the grounds. Whether you luxe bell tents for loved ones or a contemporary humanist wedding ceremony in nearby woodland, we have countless outdoor spaces at your disposal.
Coast

Mayo Coast

Just beyond the castle lies the Moy Estuary, a popular stop along the River Moy as it makes its way to the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Beyond, lie the unspoilt sands of Enniscrone Beach topped by chiselled cliffs.

From river to cliff and coast, each setting provides extra options for a unique wedding celebration. Switch things up with a boat ride, take a trip in the hotel’s horse and carriage or head to the beach for a wedding day that could only ever be yours.

Bars

We have a number of bars attached to our wedding spaces, each unique and memorable. The Armada Bar is an iconic space featuring oak baulks salvaged from galleons of the Spanish Armada which were shipwrecked along the nearby coast.

Creating a nautical-themed space, an impressive wooden bar, mullioned windows, wooden floors and noteworthy wooden chairs complete the look. From Armada’s enchanting bar space, real Irish Guinness and rare Irish whiskies are a must as celebrations unfold. The long bar which runs along the length of the Banqueting Hall is another impressive find.

Other Rooms

With rooms across the castle at your disposal, breakout rooms are easy to set up. The Bridal Party Room is popular for getting ready and available from early in the morning. As family-friendly venue we can hire trusted, experienced nannies to oversee children in our dedicated play area or a specialist children’s play room. We also welcome guests of the furry kind and can accommodate their needs as you require.
